FAQ

Is “organically farmed” different from “certified organic”?

Yes. And no. “Certified organic” means that a farm is following certain guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, including strict rules about pesticide use, soil quality, processing, and more. While are “organically farmed” peaches have not received the paperwork that makes them “certified organic,” we make organic farming a lifestyle choice, not something to simply check off boxes. We are dedicated to ensuring that we put good into the earth and, as a result, good into our bodies. We care for the land and for you, our customers.

Are organic peaches better for you?

Yes! Although it isn’t proven that organically farmed peaches have more nutrients compared with non-organically farmed peaches, they are free from pesticides, chemicals, and other toxins while non-organically farmed peaches are not.

Are fresh peaches better than canned?

Not necessarily! Sure, nothing can beat the taste of sweet, juicy peaches in summer! But when it comes to nutritional value of fresh peaches versus canned, a new study has shown that canned peaches have approximately four times more vitamin C compared with fresh peaches. So grab some of our organically farmed peaches and get to canning for the winter season!

Can you freeze peaches?

Absolutely! Frozen peaches are amazing to have in your freezer to take out for a smoothie, dessert, or to infuse your water. Really, the opportunities are endless.

Is it good to eat a peach every day?

Yes! You heard “an apple a day,” but now consider a peach a day. From supporting heart health to aiding your digestion, peaches are full of health benefits! If you are allergic to other “pit” fruits, then be careful when consuming peaches as you may also be allergic to peaches.
